My son received this for his 4th birthday. He was THRILLED to get it, and couldn't wait to get it residence and begin enjoying with it. He even tried to take it to bed the first night!
The first few days, he played with it repeatedly all through the day. After just a few days, he tired of it. He still enjoys the distant management facet, but only uses it for five minutes or so at a time.
Pros: The BigFoot be able to do some pretty neat stuff, particularly to a four-12 months outdated boy! companion with contact of a button, he roars, flips, burps, yells and throws a ball. The first time my son had him flip, he thought it was wonderful and couldn't wait to do it time and again again. The distant is also simple to function, and has just enough buttons to make it interesting and never overly sophisticated for the age group.
Cons: A few of the actions are often not performed fairly as easily or simply as on the commercials. For example, to get the BigFoot to throw the ball, you must place the ball simply so, and hope the mechanical thumb closes round it. If it would not lock or close tight sufficient, the ball simply falls right again out. Also, the ball does not really get thrown a lot as dropped with style. Still entertaining for a 4-yr previous, but only after many, many frustrating efforts getting the ball to stick. One other con is the sheer size/weight of the toy. When it flips over or falls backwards, it lands with a boom. My son used it in a bed room with laminate wood ground, and there's now a bit chip in the ground from the BigFoot landing with such force. It makes odd mechanical noises when it breaths and strikes its arms in resting mode, and when it moves around. This makes it just a little exhausting to hear it speak at instances, over the whirring. Lastly, and that is the one that my son wishes had been completely different - it only strikes backwards and forwards, not side to side. In case you're making an attempt to steer it across the room, good luck!
